About the Role
PCL is seeking a Project Engineer – Civil Bridge Structures & Transportation to support bridge and transportation infrastructure projects. In this role, you will manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
This position is ideal for professionals passionate about infrastructure development and working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide contract administration and technical support for construction projects
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and performance reporting
- Develop and implement project safety plans
- Ensure projects meet design, quality, and compliance standards
- Coordinate subcontractors, purchase orders, and payments
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders effectively
- Identify risks and opportunities within projects
- Support design-build processes, including quality audits and compliance
- Oversee bridge construction planning and execution
- Perform structural calculations and support field operations
- Maintain project schedules and provide technical guidance
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of construction experience in an operational role
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Strong understanding of:
- Construction methods and materials
- Project safety (HSE) and quality standards
- Engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Bluebeam, Procore or similar tools
- AutoCAD or equivalent design software
- Project scheduling and management systems
